Job Description

Specific responsibilities

  • Set up claim file and create it on the system for adjudication by the analysts
  • Provide clerical support to the department as needed, including letter writing, mailing, copying and scanning
  • Organize incoming documents in a paperless environment
  • Prepare documents to send to business partners
  • Process denials and payments that have been adjudicated by the analysts
  • Mail claim payments to clients
  • File additional papers with the proper files
  • Monitor aged documents to adhere to the department time service Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Monitor current inventory of pending claims and correspond with clients as needed
  • Other duties as requested by management

Experience and education

  • High School diploma
  • Basic skills using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Good communication skills

Qualities and aptitudes

  • Ability to work within a team environment in a non-supervisory capacity supporting analysts in achieving their service objectives. 
  • Exercises a high attention to detail to minimize data entry and filing errors
  • Ability to work independently

Working Conditions:

  • Available during core business hours
  • Some overtime may be required
  • No travel
